Gerald "Jerry" Vanden Brook, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, April 23, 2020, at his home.
He was born July 2, 1938, in Detroit to Henry and Agnes Rita Opoka Vanden Brook. He and Brenda McCray were married Aug. 2, 1988, at Cape Girardeau.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Jerry loved his family and loved life.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Vanden Brook of Cape Girardeau; sons, Jerry (Cathy), Jim (Debbie), John (Marsha), Chris and Jason (Penni) Vanden Brook; brother, Ken (Sue) Vanden Brook of Michigan; sister-in-law, Carolyn (David) Rettinger of Salem, Virginia; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert and Henry A. Vanden Brook.
There will be no services.
Memorial contributions may be given to Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Cape Girardeau.
