Jerry Lee "Moe" Ramsey, 58, of Scott City died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019, at Saint Louis University Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born Nov. 16, 1960, in Chaffee, Missouri, to James Walter "Num" and Edna Mae Biggs Ramsey.
He had previously worked as a deckhand for Rushing, Mays Towing and Missouri Barge Lines. Most recently, he was employed at Chaffee Food Giant.
He always took time out to help anybody in need.
Fishing, hunting and socializing with his friends were his passions.
He is survived by his mother, Edna Ramsey of Scott City; a brother, James "Eddie" (Verna) Ramsey of Jefferson City, Missouri; three sisters, Betty (Dennis) Henson of Whitewater and Donna Holshouser and Margie Fowler, both of Scott City; and many nieces and nephews, who he totally adored and loved!
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Jack Ramsey.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City.
Memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Randy Morse officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
