PATTON, Mo. — Jerry Lynn Mayfield, 81, of Patton passed away Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 8, 1935, in Mayfield, Missouri, son of Homer H. and Clara Marie Mayfield. He and Lorene “Cookie” Haertling were united in marriage Oct. 18, 1992.
Jerry was a member and deacon of Little Whitewater Baptist Church, and worked as a general manager for LeeRowan and as a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Cookie of the home; sons, Scott (Dana) and Jamie (Nancy) Mayfield, both of Patton, Jason (Kassi) Mayfield of Millersville and Orville Perr Jr. of Jackson; daughter, Karen Cunningham of Jackson; a brother, Donald Homer Mayfield of Jackson; a sister, Verda Mae Angle of Jackson; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Jeffrey; brother, Gerald; sisters, Anna Belle and Algerene Mayfield; and grandson, Jesse Brown.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Pulliam Cemetery Association.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Patton.
The funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Little Whitewater Baptist Church in Patton, with the Rev. Don Slatton and the Rev. Jess Stafford officiating. Burial will be in Pulliam Cemetery near Scopus, Missouri.
