JERRY M. GREEN

JACKSON -- Jerry M. Green, 62, of Jackson, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 1994, at John J. Pershing VA Hospital in Poplar Bluff.

He was born March 4, 1931, in Cape Girardeau, son of Bennie and Georgia Rhodes Green.

Green had worked at the former International Shoe Co. here, and worked 14 years at General Motors in St. Louis.

He was a member of Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Post in Jackson, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He received a Purple Heart March 27, 1952.

Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Green of Jackson, Pam Fowler of Cape Girardeau; his mother of Jackson, and a sister, Dorothy Walker of Burfordville.

He was preceded in death by a son.

Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at McCombs Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Rodney Travis will officiate, with burial in Stroderville Cemetery near Whitewater.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 9:30 a.m. Friday.
