Jerry Ann Dixon, 76, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007, at Life Care Center.
She was born Sept. 29, 1930, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Felix A. and Zita Mary Farrar Schindler. She and LeRoy E. Dixon were married Jan. 21, 1962, in Sikeston. He preceded her in death.
Dixon was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and its Ladies Society, VFW Auxiliary, and American Legion Auxiliary. She was a licensed practical nurse in the Memphis, Tenn., area 20 years.
She is survived by four nieces, Sherry Speakman of Sikeston, Mo., Deborah McCann of Cape Girardeau, Victoria Meyer of Chesterfield, Mo., Jacqueline Forrest of Lexington, Ky.; and a nephew, Ray Dixon of Blytheville, Ark.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 7, with the rosary to follow.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. David Hulshof officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Crittenden Memorial Park in West Memphis, Ark.
