JERRY D. EAKENS

RISCO -- Jerry Dale Eakens, 54, of Risco, died Monday, Dec. 21, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born Feb. 5, 1938, at Tallapoosa, son of Ben and Maggie Mollineaux Eakens. He and Goldie Young were married May 26, 1959, at New Madrid.

Eakens was a supervisor at Noranda Aluminum, and member of First Baptist Church here.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Calvin Eakens of Risco, Kenneth Eakens of Jackson; a daughter, Katherine Eakens of Cape Girardeau; his father of Risco; a brother, Ron Eakens of Risco; three sisters, Leota Spain and Goldene Thompson of St. Louis, Annabelle Miller of Risco, and two grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his mother and a sister.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. The Rev. Lonny Mittag will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park at Malden.
