BERTRAND -- Funeral service for Jerry C. Beasley of Bertrand will be held at 2 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Chapel in Charleston. The Revs. Charles Kohlbaker and Dan Stoffel will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. to service time.

Beasley, 56, died Friday, Aug. 28, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born May 15, 1936, at Bertrand, son of Harrison Dewey and Gaynell Bell Beasley. He and Joyce Job were married Aug. 25, 1956.

Beasley was a self-employed building contractor. He was a member of Cornerstone General Baptist Church, and served in Missouri National Guard 11 years.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ronald Beasley of Bertrand, Chad Beasley of Sikeston; two daughters, Teresa Lancaster of Bertrand, Becky Williams of Sikeston; a brother, Harrison Beasley of Dallas, Texas; a sister, Willodean Shaffar of Joplin, and a granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
