Jerry Bolen, 73, of De Soto, Missouri, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014, at his home.
He was born July 5, 1941, in Morehouse, Missouri, to George Woodrow and Ollie Olline Becker Bolen. He and June Hardwick were married June 16, 1962, in Cape Girardeau.
Jerry was a member of Madison Baptist Church in Madison, Alabama. He was an accountant with the federal government 20 years. He owned and operated Bolen Accounting and Tax Service in Madison and in Festus, Missouri.
He served his country in the United States Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, June Bolen of De Soto; a son, Paul (Cheryl) Bolen, of Hillsboro, Missouri; three daughters, Desiree (Larry) O'Harver of De Soto, Renata (Pete) Stollhans of St. Louis, Faith (Sam) Lowe of De Soto; four brothers, Gary Bolen of St. Charles, Missouri, Larry Bolen of Springfield, Missouri, Mike and Woody Bolen of Sikeston, Missouri; a sister, Linda Haley of Burbank, California; nine grandchildren, Joey Rogers, Nick Rogers, Samantha Lowe, Brandon Bolen, Zachary Bolen, Tommy Stollhans, Melanie Stollhans, Jacqui O'Harver, and Jesse O'Harver.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mike Allison officiating. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to Madison Baptist Church missions.
