EAST PRAIRIE -- Jerry Blain Secoy, 68, of East Prairie died Friday, Dec. 3, 1999 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was born Nov. 21, 1931, in Tiptonville, Tenn., son of Tom and Lula Mae Darnell Secoy. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served in the Korean War. ...

EAST PRAIRIE -- Jerry Blain Secoy, 68, of East Prairie died Friday, Dec. 3, 1999 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born Nov. 21, 1931, in Tiptonville, Tenn., son of Tom and Lula Mae Darnell Secoy.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served in the Korean War. He was a member of VFW Post #4294 at Charleston and the East Prairie Lions Club and was a volunteer fireman several years. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church at East Prairie.

He and Maxine Arnold were married Oct. 2, 1952.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Stephen Secoy of East Prairie; a daughter, Jacque Thurmond of East Prairie; three brothers, Raymond Secoy of Pilot Knob, Billy Secoy of St. Louis and Larry Secoy of East Prairie; four sisters, Jeane Bowman and Sue Fox, both of Poplar Bluff, Betty Carter and Pat Helms, both of East Prairie; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Shelby Chapel prior to service today at 2 p.m. Bro. Denny Cole and Bro. Tom Snavely will officiate, with burial to follow in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
