Jerry David Ashley Sr., 67, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Aug. 2, 2013.
He was born July 25, 1946, in Dyess, Ark., to Charles T. and Thides O. Ashley.
Survivors include a daughter, Sheila Lou Gilley of Aurora, Ill.; a son, Jerry David Ashley Jr. of Aurora; four grandchildren, Jessica Ann Ashley, James David Dunn, Jonathan Patrick Cassidy and Kaylin Lynn Pearson; two great-grandchildren, Olivia Marie Ashley and Zayne Alexander Dunn; two sisters, Melba (Ruben) Pequeno of Chicago and Joyce (Mike) Sparks of Jonesboro, Ark.; three brothers, Bobby (Karen) Ashley of Blytheville, Ark., Larry (Carolyn) Ashley of West Memphis, Ark., and Duck Ashley of Cushman, Ark.; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Carey, Charles and Bud Ashley; and two sisters, Annie Lou Gilley and Gail Kilburn.
The funeral was Wednesday at Roller-Swift Chapel in Osceola, Ark. Burial was in Bassett Cemetery in Bassett, Ark.
