Jerome Landewee

Jerome Landewee, son of the late Frank and Barbara Vandeven Landewee, was born May 20, 1946, in Cape Girardeau and departed this life Friday, June 11, 2021, at his home in Oran, Missouri, at the age of 75 years.

On Sept. 19, 1970, he married Carolyn Eftink in Oran. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Darren (Mary Katherine "Cassy") Landewee of Oran and Todd (Jeannie) Landewee of Chaffee, Missouri; one daughter, Melynda (Tracy) Loughary of Jackson; one brother, Irvin Landewee; four sisters, Pat Kern, Mary Glasstetter, Carolyn Leitle and Bernice Kern; and six grandchildren, Allyson Jansen, Olivia Jansen, Brooke Landewee, Saylor Landewee, Parker Landewee and Aubrey Landewee.

Apart from his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Landewee.

Visitation was Sunday at Amick-Burnet Funeral Chapel in Oran.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. today in Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, with the Rev. Joseph Kelly and the Rev. Randy Tochtorp officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery, with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to either Guardian Angel Catholic Church, 604 Church St., Oran MO 63771, or St. Ambrose Catholic School, 419 S. Third St., Chaffee, MO 63740.
