Jerline C. Cox, 80, of Arbor died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005, at home. She was born May 14, 1925, in Delta, daughter of Oliver Snider and Mary Davis. She and Raymond Lloyd Cox were married Oct. 10, 1943, at Benton, Mo. He died Oct. 1, 1998. She was a homemaker. Cox was a member of Arbor General Baptist Church and served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. Graduate of Delta High School 1941...

Jerline C. Cox, 80, of Arbor died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005, at home.

She was born May 14, 1925, in Delta, daughter of Oliver Snider and Mary Davis. She and Raymond Lloyd Cox were married Oct. 10, 1943, at Benton, Mo. He died Oct. 1, 1998.

She was a homemaker. Cox was a member of Arbor General Baptist Church and served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. Graduate of Delta High School 1941.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Cox of Cape Girardeau, George Cox of Arbor; a daughter, Linda Mothershead of Commerce, Mo.; a sister, Fern Kersting of Wentzville, Mo.; four grandsons, Matthew Cox of Scott City, Stephen O'Brien of Kelso, Mo., Adam Cox of Cape Girardeau, Christopher Cox of Leopold, Mo.; two granddaughters, Meredith Scherer, Rebecca Cox, both of Arbor; a great-granddaughter, Avarie O'Brien of Kelso; four great-grandsons, Hunter Cox, Braden Cox, both of Scott City, Landon O'Brien of Kelso, Carter Scherer of Arbor.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Joanna Marie Cox, two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Monday.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Kermit Patton will officiate, with the Rev. Vyron Young assisting. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery near Arbor.

Morgan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Arbor General Baptist Church.
