SIKESTON -- Jennie Howard, 94, of Sikeston died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born May 13, 1902, in Vincent, Ark., daughter of John and Alice Petaway Heck. She and Ed Howard were married Dec. 26, 1920. He died Jan. 9, 1976.
Howard had worked at Lincoln Junior High School. She was a member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church and its Women's Society of Christian Service, and had been a Girl Scout leader and 4-H leader.
Survivors include four sons, Lloyd Howard of Chicago, Rev. James Howard of Graham, N.C., Fredrick Howard of Indianapolis, Ind., Harry Howard of Louisville, Ky.; two daughters, Carleen Harrington and Royleen Knox of Sikeston; 36 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sons and three daughters.
Friends may call at Smith Chapel Church from 6-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. James Howard officiating. Burial will be in Sunset of Memories Cemetery.
