Jennie E. Caldwell, 96, 2852 Independence, died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 7, 1896, at Commerce, daughter of George E. and Canzada Penn Clymer. She married Guy J. Caldwell Aug. 23, 1914, at Commerce. He died April 1, 1947.
Caldwell was a licensed practical nurse at old St. Francis Hospital, and a member of Maple Avenue United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Davis Caldwell of Kissimmee, Fla.; five daughters, Mary Young of Cape Girardeau, Geneva Cochran of Advance, Deane Denton of Thebes, Ill., Jessie Trickey and Loretta Davis of Indianapolis, Ind.; 24 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, three daughters, a brother and sister.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Oakdale Cemetery in Commerce. The Revs. Jim Dace and Ron Watts will officiate.
