SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Jennie C. "MaMaw" Nimmo of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Jerry Adams will officiate, with burial in Matthews Cemetery at Matthews.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 9 a.m.-noon.

Nimmo, 94, died Monday, Sept. 12, 1994, at Sikeston Health Care.

She was born July 4, 1900, in Henderson, Tenn., daughter of James and Sarah Jane Hensley Frazier. She and John L. Nimmo were married Oct. 23, 1915, at Tyler. He died Feb. 11, 1943.

Nimmo was a member of Bethel Church.

Survivors include three sons, John Nimmo of Sikeston, Kenneth Nimmo of Sikeston, Jerry Nimmo of Morehouse; four daughters, Virginia Paris of Dexter, Mable Northcutt, Estelle Oliver and Wanda Tippy of Sikeston; 35 grandchildren; 79 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by seven children and several brothers and sisters.
