Jeffrey Joe Sides Sr., 56, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018, at the home of his daughter.
He was born Jan. 30, 1962, in Kennett, Missouri, to Roy and Lydia Ruebel Sides. He and Agnes Rosetta "Rosie" Sides were married Jan. 30, 1986, in Cape Girardeau.
He was a cab dispatcher for Kelley Transportation 21 years and later worked as a secretary for Helpers Moving & Storage for 10 years.
He was a member of Calvary United Pentecostal Church in Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Rosie Sides; a daughter, Jessica (Travis) Smith of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Jeffrey J. Sides II of Cape Girardeau and Jacob Sides of Scopus, Missouri; a brother, John Sides of Wyoming; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Barbara Tucker, Peggy Teague and Glenda Beason.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Nathan Brown and Bishop Ronnie Brown officiating. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
