McCLURE, Ill. -- Jeffrey Lee Ashworth, 49, of McClure passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at his home.

He was born May 15, 1970, in Cairo, Illinois. He was the son of Ronnie and Marilyn Ashworth.

Jeff was retired and lived at home with his parents. He wanted to be a help to them. He did the yard work, house cleaning, constantly in a run to do whatever he could to help. He tried to take care of his grandmother next door. He loved all of his family and would start baking when he knew anyone was coming over.

He rededicated his life to the Lord during this time, as he was fighting cancer. He loved for Pastor Phil and Denise Roop from Bethel Assembly of God to come and visit and pray with him.
