Jeffrey A. Smith, 33, of St. Louis and formerly of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Aug. 28, 1993, at St. Mary's Medical Center in St. Louis.
He was born Aug. 16, 1960, at Cape Girardeau, the son of Fred W. and Ann Hood Smith. Both parents survive of Cape Girardeau.
He was a hair designer for the JCPenny Company in Cape Girardeau, and then worked at Great Clips in St. Louis. He was a graduate of Central High School, Southeast Missouri State University and the Cape Girardeau Beauty School. He also was a member of the Maple Avenue United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau.
Other survivors include a sister, Suzanne Batchelor of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Steven Smith of Cape Girardeau; maternal grandmother Gladys Hood of Cape Girardeau; and paternal grandfather Fred R. Smith of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau, where funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Jimmie Dace will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
