Jeff Hobbs

Jeff D. Hobbs, 48, of Cape Girardeau County died Friday, April 29, 2016.

He was born April 14, 1968, in Cape Girardeau to Darrell W. and Beverly J. Benton Hobbs.

He had worked for Missouri Barge Line.

Jeff loved to sing, play his guitar, hunt and fish.

Survivors include a son, Cole Newkirk of Jackson; his mother, Beverly J. (Richard) Porzelt of McGee, Missouri; his father, Darrell W. (Cathy) Hobbs of Jackson; and three brothers, Darrin W. (Angela) Hobbs of Cape Girardeau, Anthony J. (Tracy) Porzelt of Zalma, Missouri, and Richard A. (Deb) Porzelt of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his son, Shannon Hobbs.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Don Henson officiating.
