Jeannie Davis

ORAN, Mo. -- Jeannie Katherine Davis, 46, of Convoy, Ohio, died Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at the home of her parents in Oran.

She was born April 7, 1957, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of General Leon and Shirley Ann Wagoner Mason. She and David Allen Davis were married Nov. 9, 1974.

Davis was a seamstress several years at Tri-Con Industries in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Oran, and VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 3127 in Chaffee, Mo. She was a foster parent several years, raising several children.

Survivors include her husband; five sons, Christopher Davis of Oran, Justin, Brandon, Matthew and Tyler Davis, all of Convoy; her parents of Oran; a brother, Garry Mason of Oran; and maternal grandmother, Ada Wagoner of Chaffee.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Leon Mason; maternal grandfather, and paternal grandparents.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 4 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ed Carter officiating. Burial will be in Friend Cemetery at Oran.
