JEAN WELCH

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Jean Welch, 76, of Tazewell, Tenn., died Saturday, April 7, 2001, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Tazewell.

She was born Nov. 3, 1924, at Lutesville, Mo., daughter of Chauncey and Alpha Ricketts. She and Bryan L. Welch were married in 1947.

She was a member of the New Tazewell United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband; her mother of Marble Hill; two sons, Ronald J. Welch and Richard L. Welch, both of Tazewell; two sisters, Naomi O'Donnell of Tazewell and Joan Williams of Rolla, Mo.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, a sister and a brother.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at Claiborne Funeral Home in New Tazewell, Tenn. Funeral will be at 8 p.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. Steve Parker officiating.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Irish Memorial Gardens in Tazewell.
