Audrey J. "Jean" Seabaugh, 82, of Jackson passed away Monday, Dec. 24, 2018, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 7, 1936, in Delta to Daniel M. and Margaret Nix Gibbons. She and Johnny Seabaugh were married May 16, 1954. They had been married 61 years when Johnny passed away Feb. 5, 2016.
Jean was a graduate of Delta High School. After she and Johnny were married, they resided in several states, including Iowa, Arkansas and California, moving back to Missouri in 1976. Jean worked as a surgical technician in several hospitals. When Johnny felt called to become a pastor, Jean supported him in his ministry, first at Good News Christian Center in Jackson and then at The Rock in Cape Girardeau, where Jean was still a member.
Loving survivors include two sons, Mark (the late Vickie) Seabaugh of Delta and Kevin Seabaugh (Donna Harrison) of Jackson; six grandchildren, Nick, Chris, Kacie, Kayla, Justin and Kevin Lee; seven great-grandchildren, Lane, Hannah, Hunter, Holden, Jason, Austin and Gracynn; and a brother, David W. (Doreen) Gibbons of Devils Lake, North Dakota.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a daughter-in-law, Vickie Seabaugh; and two sisters, Wanda (Donnie) Seabaugh and Betty (Virgil) Long.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday and from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m, Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Greg King officiating. Interment will follow in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
