Jean Hermsdorfer
Jean Ann (Sanders) Hermsdorfer, 49, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 31, 1958, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Louis Edward and Frances Mary (Stehr) Sanders. She and Paul D. Hermsdorfer were married Sept. 12, 1987, in Cape Girardeau.
Hermsdorfer was employed by Notre Dame Regional High School as an administrative assistant. She was a member of St. Mary Cathedral. Hermsdorfer was very involved with her church, where she volunteered for a variety of projects, including cantoring. She was a member of St. Ann's Sodality and a Notre Dame Booster.
Survivors include her husband, Paul D. Hermsdorfer of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Katherine F. (Mayer) Webster and husband Trace, Laura Rose Hermsdorfer, all of Cape Girardeau; her father, Louis Edward Sanders of Cape Girardeau; a brother, David Ray Sanders of Cape Girardeau; and two sisters, Susan Marie Sanders and Sharon Kay Sanders, both of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Mary (Stehr) Sanders; and two sons, Peter Hermsdorfer and Joseph Hermsdorfer.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Cathedral, with the Rev. Tom Kiefer officiating.
Entombment will be in the Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary Cathedral, 615 William St.; St. Mary School, 210 S. Sprigg St.; Notre Dame Regional High School, 265 Notre Dame Drive; or Southeast Hospice, 1701 Lacey St.
