CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Jean D. Harrell, 92, of Chaffee passed away Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018, at Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born April 30, 1926, in Chaffee to the late Frank and Pearl Moore. She married the Rev. Watis Harrell on July 17, 1952, and he preceded her in death June 4, 2014.
Jean was a retired machine operator for the Chaffee Shoe Co. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Chaffee. She was a member of Chaffee Order of Eastern Star No. 48.
She is survived by a son, Fred (Pam) Harrell of Jackson; four daughters, Velma Wachter of St. Clair, Missouri, June Simmons of Chaffee, Rosetta Kinder of Scott City and Sandra (Fred) Mauer of Mount Vernon, Illinois; 18 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by four sisters and two stepsons.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Morse officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
