Emma Jean Green, 86, of Crump passed away Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 8, 1933, at Crump, daughter of James F. and Emma E. Brase Williams. She and Ray Clinton Green married Aug. 27, 1955, at Hahn's Chapel in Marble Hill, Missouri. He died May 7, 2019.

Jean lived in Crump most of her life. She attended the Cowboy Church at Fruitland. Throughout the years, Jean and Ray worked together, as they owned and operated Green's General Store at Crump for 18 years. They later owned and operated Green's Auction and would sell items at Tradewinds Flea Market in Sikeston, Missouri. They enjoyed camping and had traveled all over the United States and Canada.

Loving survivors include four children, Terry (Susan) Green, Rick (Dorothy) Green and Connie (Steve) Rich, all of Whitewater, and Mary (Dan) Tankersley of Gordonville; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Flora Wiseman of Crump.

She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 63 years; her parents; two brothers, James F. "Junior" Williams Jr. and John R. Williams; and two sisters, Irene Trentham and Mildred Helderman.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Jean's grandson, the Rev. Andrew Green, officiating. Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Proffer Cemetery in Crump.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Proffer Cemetery or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
