CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Funeral service for J.E. (Bud) Stroder of Calvert City, Ky., will be held at 10 a.m. today at Lindsey Funeral Home in Paducah, Ky. The Rev. Jim Gerhart will officiate, with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens near Paducah.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until service.
Stroder, 64 years old, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 1991, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
He was born March 15, 1926, in Cape Girardeau, son of Jesse and Reda Proffer Stroder. He married the former Linda Robinson.
Stroder was a chief engineer with Midland Orgull of Paducah. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Scott Stroder of St. Louis, Elwood Stroder of Louisville, Ky., Steve and David Stroder of Houston, Tex.; a daughter, Sherry Adams of Rolla; two stepsons, Specialist Terry McNeill stationed in Saudi Arabia, Carl McNeill Jr. of Hermitage, Tenn.; a stepdaughter, Vickie Stokes of Fairview, Ky.; two sisters, Ruth Ettling and Mary Stewart of Belleville, Ill., and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Stroder.
