SIKESTON, Mo. -- Ralph "J.C." Tidwell, 88, of Sikeston died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born June 12, 1914, in Sikeston, son of Frank and Maggie Whalen Tidwell. He and Violet Holifield were married Dec. 22, 1934.
Tidwell was a mechanic at Mitchell-Sharp Chevrolet 35 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Ralph and Phil Tidwell of Sikeston, Dennis Tidwell of Bloomington, Ill.; two daughters, Maxine Winters of Sikeston, Glenda Tidwell of Kirkwood, Mo.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home after 9 a.m. Thursday.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
