CAPE GIRARDEAU -- J.C. Pulliam, 65, of 16 S. Pacific died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 1990 at his home.
He was born July 24, 1925 in Bollinger County, the son of Curb and Zoie Cook Pulliam.
He married Catherine Reed on Jan. 15, 1947 in Paragould, Ark. She survives.
In addition, he is survived by three brothers, Arnold Pulliam, Potosi, Carl Pulliam, Chicago, Billy James, Potosi; one stepbrother, Jim James, Burfordville; two sisters, Helen Regeon, St. Louis, Anna Dale Thorn, Chaffee; three stepsisters, Beulah Pulliam, Ula Cook, Dorothy McIntire, all of Jackson; several nieces and nephews.
One son, one brother and three sisters preceded him in death.
He was of the Pentecostal faith.
He moved to Jackson from Bollinger County and then moved to Cape Girardeau in 1952.
He worked for Farrow Stave Mill at McClure, Ill. for four years.
He then worked for the Albert Keller farm for 12 years.
In October 1989, he retired from the Cape Special Road District where he had worked 19 years.
Funeral service will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 4-8 p.m.
