PERRYVILLE -- J.C. Herman, 79, of Perryville, died Tuesday, April 19, 1994, at Parkland Health Center in Farmington.
He was born May 6, 1914, in Piggott, Ark., son of John C. and Rosa Masters Herman. He and Margaret Dreste were married July 29, 1939. She died Nov. 16, 1990.
Herman had been a mail handler with Terminal Railroad Association.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Meyer of St. Louis, Rose Sheets of Florissant, Margaret Barnett of Perryville; three sons, John Herman of DeSoto, Robert Herman of O'Fallon, Charles Herman of Perryville; a sister, Marjorie Blackley of Illinois; 28 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and after 6:30 a.m. Thursday.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Home Cemetery.
