SEDGEWICKVILLE -- J.B. Isreal, 66, of Sedgewickville, died Thursday, March 5, 1992 at the Veterans Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
He was born Oct. 28, 1925 in Kelso, Ark., son of Ben R. and Nora Jane Pate Isreal.
He married Leslie H. Strickland on Oct. 11, 1941. She survives.
Other survivors are three sons, James B. Isreal of Sedgewickville, Carl W. Isreal and Ronnie W. Isreal, both of Perryville; two daughters, Shirley J. Miller of Sedgewickville and Mary K. Griffard of Ste. Genevieve; one brother, William McCaig of Bowling Green, Ky.; four sisters, Eldean Bradley of Sedgewickville, Georgia Miller of Hillsboro, Anna Lou Duffel of Fredericktown and Wanda Graham of Kennett; 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
One daughter and one brother preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Church of Christ in Sedgewickville, and was a retired assembly line worker for General Motors. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Friends may call Sunday from 6-9 p.m. at the Young & Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville, and again on Monday from 6:30 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. at the chapel. The Rev. John Stinnett will officiate. Burial will be in Lixville Cemetery.
