Funeral service for J.B. House of Martin, Tenn., will be held at 11 a.m. today at Murphy Funeral Home in Martin. The Rev. Billy Morphis will officiate, with burial in East Side Cemetery at Martin.
House, 83, died Friday, Nov. 17, 1995, at Pinnellas Park Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla.
He was born Oct. 31, 1912, in Martin, son of Earnest L. and Bertha L. Jackson House. He married the former Ruth Culbertson.
House was a retired farmer, and member of Oak Hill United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Kenneth House of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Mary Robertson of Dresden, Tenn.; four brothers, Roy House of Westland, Mich., Verlon House of Hartsville, Tenn., Russell House of Livonia, Mich., Fred House of Knoxville, Tenn.; three sisters, Annie Vigil of St. Augustine, Fla., Alberta Taylor of Dresden, Estelle Bowden of Garden City, Mich.; seven grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
