Jay K. Rose, 74, of Lake Girardeau died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at the family home.
He was born in Portageville, Mo., on April 30, 1936, to the late Willie Lee and Mary Pyles Rose. He married Wilma Lacy on Aug. 18, 1990.
He was a retired construction worker from Local 282 out of Cape Girardeau. He lived in the Lake Girardeau area for more than 30 years. He was also a member of Lake Girardeau Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma; two sons, Allan Rose of Whitewater and Denny (Cristy) Pendegraff of Jefferson City, Mo.; six daughters, Joanne (Robert) Dudley of Lake Girardeau, Joyce Rose of Cape Girardeau, Helen (Robin) Natvig of Benton, Mo., Paula Anna (Rusty) Carroll of Scott City, Patricia Jarvis of Springfield, Mo., Paula (Todd) Newman of Sikeston, Mo.; one sister, Dellar Kilburn Hubbard, Chaffee, Mo.; 18 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by 14 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Mark Claunch officiating.
