His love of flying inspired him to obtain his pilot's license and ultimately he obtained all of his professional pilot's ratings. He was hired by Drury Industries as its corporate pilot and, after retiring, he continued flying his own airplane and sky dived on several occasions.

He loved country music and karaoke singing. Jay had a great singing voice and sense of humor and loved a good joke. He had a tender heart for those in need and would dress up as Santa Claus and distribute toys to hospitalized children.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

There will be a graveside service Saturday at Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley.

Condolences may be shared at www.whitesandersfuneralhome.com.
