Janis C. Righter, 64, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at Southeast Hospital.
She was born Sept. 30, 1949, in Wyatt, Mo., to Aubrey and Elsie Parsons Brown. She was a 1967 graduate of Carlisle County High School in Carlisle County, Ky.
Janis most recently worked at Walgreens in Cape Girardeau. She previously worked at Cauble and Field in Cape Girardeau and Rubbermaid in Jackson.
Loving survivors include two children, Todd Gloth and Leslie Cauble-Parker of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Skyler Nicole, Seth Michael, Aubrey Ryanne and Christopher Ramzy; a great-granddaughter, Ryanne Grace; two siblings, Bobby Long of Birmingham, Ala., and Thelma Palmer of Cape Girardeau; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Jo Ann Gream.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Cremation accorded by McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
