Janis Mae Reimann, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
She was born Oct. 30, 1942, in Cape Girardeau to Loy Vester and Lillie Lucille Wallis Barks. She and Ronald K. Reimann were married Aug. 2, 1963. He preceded her in death Sept. 12, 2000.
Janis was an elementary school teacher at Scott City and Meadow Heights schools. She was a member of La Croix United Methodist Church and Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, Darrin K. Reimann (Jennifer) of Columbia, Mo.; a daughter, Dr. Janna Crosnoe (Cory) of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Danny Barks (Kathy) of Jackson; four grandchildren, Corson Crosnoe, Rachel Reimann, Justice Crosnoe and Chase Crosnoe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and infant son, Lanny Reimann.
Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Rob Mehner officiating. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Stroke Association.
