DEXTER, Mo. -- Janie Lucille Edwards, 81, of Dexter died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born May 10, 1920, in Murray, Ky., daughter of Atle and Illa Marine Charlton. She and Tribble Elsworth Edwards were married in 1937 in Piggott, Ark. She died in 1991.
Edwards was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include six sons, Gary Edwards of Fisk, Mo., Dale and Jackie Edwards of Rockford, Ill., Jimmy and Micky Edwards of Broseley, Mo., Benny Edwards of Bakersfield, Mo.; two daughters, Sue Davis of Pangburn, Ark., Eva McNece of Bernie, Mo.; a brother, Bill Charlton of Nashville, Tenn.; 29 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, three grandsons, and three sisters.
Friends may call at Rainey Funeral Home in Bernie from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Gregory Cemetery at Kennett, Mo.
