Janice C. Zahlen, 63, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, June 30, 2003, at her home.
She was born March 27, 1939, in St. Paul, Minn., daughter of Frank and Helen Nosal Zahlen.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cape Girardeau and was employed by the state of Missouri as a counselor and career foster parent.
Survivors include a son, David Callier of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Ann Callier and Alecia Zahlen, both of Cape Girardeau, and Margie Callier of Idawild, Calif.; three brothers, James "Jim" Zahlen and Gary Zahlen, both of Henderson, Nev., and Steven Zahlen of Littleton, Colo.; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cape Girardeau, with Bishop Wes Mueller officiating. Burial will be in North Oakwood Cemetery in Carterville, Ill.
