ZALMA, Mo. -- Janice Fay James, 42, of Zalma went to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013.
She was born March 21, 1971, at Festus, Mo. She was the beloved daughter of Kenny Odell and Janet Kay Shavnore James. Her daddy preceded her in death July 7, 2013. She took her journey into eternity along with grandparents Virgil and Flossie Loughery, Truman and Ercie Markham and Woody Shavnore.
Janice Fay enjoyed life to the fullest; even physically challenged, she was an inspiration to all who knew her. Janice always had a smile and giving spirit filled with love.
Janice Fay was a 1990 graduate of Zalma High School. She enjoyed many hobbies of crafts, which she would give to friends. She especially took joy in giving her cross stitch or crochet baby blankets. Her life was a testimony and witness to the Lord. As a member of the Dongola Friendship Baptist Church, she often sang specials and was active in many youth activities.
She leaves behind her mother, Janet Kay James of Zalma; a brother, Kenny O. (Susan) James Jr. of Advance, Mo.; a sister, Ercie (Mike) Rodgers of Zalma; three nephews, Dustin James, Jeremy Rodgers and Tim Rodgers; two nieces, Holly James and Kayla Rodgers; three great-nephews; a great-niece; and many aunts, uncles, family and friends.
Loved by all who knew her, she will be missed beyond the expression of words.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Dan Overton officiating and the Rev. Jack Hemby assisting, and Dustin James also will speak. Burial will be in Balch Cemetery.
