Janet Pardue

Janet J. Pardue, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, May 7, 2022, at her home.

She was born June 27, 1935, in Afton, Iowa, to Donald Clayton and Mildred Edith Frey Bowers.

She and Wilbur Pardue were married March 1, 1969.

Janet was a medical transcriptionist.

She loved crafting and reading and her cat, Rascal.

She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Don (Debbie) Pardue of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Vicki (Dale) Gaver of Blair, Nebraska, and Patricia (Paul) Hodge of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Janet was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Wilbur A. Pardue; two brothers, Carl Chadwick and John Bowers; and a sister, Patricia Bowers.

Graveside service was held Monday at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with the Dr. Shawn Wasson officiating.

Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
