GLENALLEN, Mo. -- Janet Fay Gipson, 62, of Glenallen died Friday, Nov. 4, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Jan. 21, 1943 in St. Louis, daughter of Delmar Paul Hovis and Amy E. Jaco. She and George F. Gipson were married Nov., 13, 1959, at Clubb, Mo. He died Aug. 20, 2005.
Gipson was a member of New Sylvan Church.
Survivors include a son, Harlan Gipson of Glenallen; four daughters, Amy Myabb, Georgie Speth, both of Glenallen, Sylvia Crader of Marble Hill, Mo., Lana Tooman of Cascade, Mo.; four sisters, Cheryl Gipson of Cascade, Joan Hernandez of Corpus Christi, Texas, Veda Bashear of Mississippi, Vivian Dysart of Marshall, Mo.; four brothers, Delmar Hovis of Perryville, Mo., Elmer Hovis of Goodland, Kan., Jimmy Hovis of Cascade, Donnie Hovis of Glenallen; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, a brother and a sister.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hutchings Funeral Chapel.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Sheldon Owen and Art Rehkop officiating. Burial will be in New Trace Creek Cemetery at Glenallen.
