Jane Smith

THEBES, Ill. -- Jane N. Smith, 90, of Granite City, Ill., died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, at SunBridge University Care and Rehabilitation Center in Edwardsville, Ill.

She was born Feb. 22, 1912, in Thebes, daughter of Walter and Maude Foster Jordan.

Mrs. Smith was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Troy, Ill.

Survivors include her husband, Everett G. Smith; a son, Walter Pedigo of Granite City; a stepson, Grover Smith of Raleigh, N.C.; nieces and nephews, including Wilma Miller of Tamms, Ill.

She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

A memorial service was held Jan. 4 at Bethel Baptist Church. The Rev. Dale Clemmons officiated.

Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville, Ill., was in charge of arrangements.
