ADVANCE -- Funeral for Jane Massa of Advance will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Morgan Funeral Home. J.D. Smith, Joe Smith and Clinton Massa will officiate, with burial in McGee Chapel Cemetery at Glen Allen.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:30-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Massa, 61, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 1998, at her home.

She was born May 14, 1937, in Marietta, Ga., daughter of Carl and Mattie Mae Shirley Roberts. She and Sam W. Massa were married Aug. 5, 1962, in Trenton, Ga.

Massa was a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle.

Survivors include her husband; 11 sons, Randall, Ronnie, Mike and Marvin Goodman, all of Griffin, Ga., Ricky Goodman of Barnesville, Ga., Steve Goodman of Macon, Ga., Jim Massa of Moreland, Ga., Sammy Massa of Advance, Larry, Terry and Randy Massa, all of Marble Hill.

Also surviving are five daughters, Pam Aleto of Atlanta, Ga., Debbie Smith and Tammie Shelby of Zalma, Vickie Simmers and Kathy Massa of Advance; 40 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, three brothers, a sister, a grandson, and a stepson.
