Jane Fox, 64, of Commerce, Texas, loving wife, friend and mother, passed away Friday, Feb. 22, 2013.
She was born April 1, 1948, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Samuel and Norma Bass.
Left to celebrate her life is her husband of 30 years, Haydn "Chip" Fox; three daughters, Charle Blackburn, Noeve Warren and Lyla Warren; two grandchildren, Sarah Jane Bolin and Gage Blackburn; a sister, Joyce Ballard; three nieces, Susan Elliott, Vicky Garrison and Tina Cannon; and a nephew, John Cannon.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Donald Bass.
Jane received bachelor of science and master's degrees in biology from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. She taught biology laboratory classes at Southeast and at Clemson University in South Carolina.
She was very talented and creative. She loved to draw and paint in different media, plus she had many other creative talents. Her flower arrangements, both live and artificial, were outstanding. She passed on this creative talent to her three daughters.
When anyone needed help she was always there for them with common sense, compassion, vision and wisdom.
A memorial service for family and friends will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Commerce, with associate pastor Michael Ryer officiating.
Lynch Funeral Service in Greenville, Texas, is in charge of arrangements.
