SIKESTON, Mo. -- James Lee White, 71, of Sikeston died Saturday, May 1, 2004, at his home.
He was born June 6, 1932, at Ridgely, Tenn., son of Flaudie and Lillian Spence White. He was married to Gracie White, who preceded him in death.
White was a farmer and attended Canalou Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his mother; two sons, David Barger of Tennessee and James White of Indiana; two daughters, Laurie Wright of Springfield, Mo., and Kathy Wheat of Reeds Springs, Mo.; five brothers, Samuel White of Lake Placid, Fla., Bill White of Union, Mo., Jimmy White of Herrin, Ill., Kenneth White of Bloomfield, Mo., and Daniel White of Wappapello, Mo.; four sisters, Christine Smith, Jeannie White and Judy Waters, all of Sikeston, and Sheila Gee of Gilbertsville, Ky.; and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son and a brother.
Friends may call from noon until service time Tuesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel, with the Revs. Mike Cartwright and Randy Lemons officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
