ANNA, Ill. -- James R. Webb, 65, of Wetaug, Ill., died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, at his home.

He was born Jan. 14, 1938, at Chicago, son of Charles and Mildred Smith Webb. He and Marcia Charlene Hord were married Nov. 18, 1963, at Champaign, Ill.

Webb was a veteran of the Korean War and a former president of the AFSCME Local.

Survivors include his wife; five children, Chuck Webb of Wetaug, Scott Welch of Vienna, Ill., Steve Lehman of Golconda, Ill., and David Lehman and Becky Wilson of Cypress, Ill; two brothers, Gene Wiggs of Texas and Robert Webb of Tucson, Ariz.; five sisters, Rita Polston of Vienna, Alice Grennwood of Eldorado, Ill., Edna May Bullington of Christopher, Ill., Nancy Owens of Georgia and Diane Wiggs of Springfield, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Masonic Cemetery in Cypress. The Rev. Ronnie Gulley will officiate, with full military honors by the Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455. Lutz and Rendelman Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements.
