ZALMA, Mo. -- James Eric Wade, 46, of Zalma passed away Jan. 11, 2022, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.
He was born Oct. 1, 1975, in Cape Girardeau, the son of James Robert and Dana Lynn Lemons Wade.
Eric was a truck driver for Byron Lang Trucking in Jackson. He was a member of the Zalma General Baptist Church. He was an avid Kentucky Wildcats basketball fan and St. Louis Cardinals fan. Eric loved being outdoors, but more than anything he loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his mother, Dana Wade of Zalma; his love, Brandi Rene Wallace of the home; two sons, James Eric "Jake" Wade Jr. and Caden Wyatt Wade, both of the home; a daughter, Baileigh Rene Meadows of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; two grandchildren, Houston William and Stella Rene; two brothers, Charlie (Stephanie) Bess of Advance, Missouri, and Gandy Wade of Zalma; maternal grandparents, Sharon and Don Holmes of Zalma; paternal grandmother, Ilene Wade of Bloomfield, Missouri; mother-in-law, Rebecca Stafford of Zalma; sister-in-law, Leah Ann (Toby) Rodgers of Advance; seven nieces and nephews, Gauge and Karsen Bess, Norah Wade, Jackson Shock and Taylor, Kadon and Emberley Rodgers; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Eric was preceded in death by his father, James Wade; maternal grandfather, Milford Sturgeon; and paternal grandfather, James "Junior" Wade.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 22 at Brush Creek Church near Zalma.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Jan. 22 at the church, with the Rev. Eric Lemons officiating. Burial will follow at Berrong Cemetery near Gispy, Missouri.
