James Wayne Tuckus, 31, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Dec. 6, 2021, at Saint Francis Medical Center. He was born April 21, 1990, in Gainesville, Florida, to Wayne Tuckus and Connie Cullum Dotten. He worked at DHL Logistics in Jackson. He enjoyed playing soccer, Disney World, kayaking, hiking, snorkeling, boating and fishing. He loved spending time with his niece and nephews...

James Wayne Tuckus, 31, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Dec. 6, 2021, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born April 21, 1990, in Gainesville, Florida, to Wayne Tuckus and Connie Cullum Dotten.

He worked at DHL Logistics in Jackson.

He enjoyed playing soccer, Disney World, kayaking, hiking, snorkeling, boating and fishing. He loved spending time with his niece and nephews.

Survivors include his father, Wayne Tuckus of Florida; mother, Connie Cullum Dotten of Bernie, Missouri; special friend, Curtis Walter of Fruitland; brother, Jesse (Dakota) Dotten of Hallsville, Missouri; sister, Mandi (Nathaniel) Brink of Cape Girardeau; three nephews, Granger Dotten of Hallsville and Jonah Brink and Elijah Brink, both of Cape Girardeau; niece, Rachel Brink of Cape Girardeau; cousin/sister, Michelle Cullum of Van Buren, Missouri, and her son, Jack Carlino; paternal grandparents, John and Ann Tuckus Sr. of Key Largo, Florida; uncle, Chuck Cullum of Port St. Lucie, Florida. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.

James was preceded in death by his stepfather, John Dotten; maternal grandparents, Cude and Joyce Cullum; stepgrandparents, Cosmo and Helen Lombardozzi; uncle, Michael Cullum; and a cousin, Sara Cullum.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Brett Cheek officiating.
