PERRYVILLE -- James T. Grindstaff, 89, of Perryville, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 1995, at Perry Oaks Healthcare Center.
He was born Nov. 27, 1905, in Bollinger County, son of Jefferson and Mary Elizabeth Seabaugh Grindstaff. He and Estella Ruessler were married Sept. 23, 1928.
Grindstaff was a retired shoe factory worker. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, James Grindstaff of Perryville; two daughters, Anna Kennon of St. Louis, Edna Manner of St. Peters; two brothers, Zackery and Hadley Grindstaff of Patton, Rose McKinney of Pittsburgh, Pa.; 15 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, three sisters, a grandson and a great-grandson.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel from 4-9 p.m. today, and Saturday from 6:30-11:15 a.m.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Post Oak Church, with the Rev. Julius Mills officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
