James Keith Strickert, 69, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at his home.
He was born April 27, 1951, in Jefferson City to the late Arnold and Elfrieda Hoyer Strickert.
He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.
James owned and operated Strickert Automotive for 45 years, while being a partner with his brother John for 34 years, during the business's 69 years. James was proud to be an Eagle Scout member of Troop 311 of Jackson.
Survivors include his brothers, John (Melissa) Strickert of Jackson and Joe Strickert of St. Louis; two sisters, Judith Montoya of Falls Church, Virginia, and Jill (John) Goddard of Fayetteville, Arkansas; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Jackson.
The funeral service will follow at noon, with Pastor Schmidt officiating. Interment will take place in the Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
In lieu of flowers donations are appreciated to the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.
