SIKESTON, Mo. -- James C. Simpson Jr., 58, of Sikeston died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born March 26, 1946, at Diehlstadt, Mo., son of James C. and Beulah D. Poley Simpson. He and Ruth A. Jones were married Feb. 10, 1968, at Charleston, Mo.
Simpson served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Eagles Aerie 3319.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Donna Hood of Sikeston, Sharron Hunsperger of Wyatt, Mo.; his mother, Beulah Everly of Charleston; a brother, Donald Poley; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and stepfather.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, with Bob Burnes officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, with military graveside rites by Missouri Veterans Funeral Honors Program.
